Grampians natioanal park
small group day tours
Ancient mountain lookouts, powerful waterfalls, kangaroos, and deep cultural landscapes.
Discover the Grampians National Park, also known as Gariwerd, on a premium small-group day tour from Melbourne, designed for travellers seeking more than a standard sightseeing experience. Enjoy guided walks, dramatic mountain scenery, respectful wildlife observation and a relaxed connection with nature.
Your Grampians day tour begins with a scenic drive from Melbourne into western Victoria. As you enter Gariwerd, ancient sandstone ranges, dramatic rock formations and open bushland create an unforgettable natural backdrop. Our small-group approach means less rushing, more time exploring and a more personal experience.
Our first major stop is Booroka Lookout, one of the best viewpoints in the Grampians. From here, enjoy sweeping panoramic views across the surrounding plains, mountain ranges and bushland. There is time to take photographs, appreciate the landscape and learn about the region from your guide.
As MacKenzie Falls is currently closed, we visit the Grand Canyon in the Grampians instead. This scenic walking experience takes you through the Wonderland Range, featuring impressive sandstone walls, narrow passages and unique rock formations. Depending on conditions, the walk may include highlights such as the Cool Chamber, Bridal Veil Falls, Silent Street and Pinnacle Lookout. Your guide will adjust the route according to weather, safety and walking conditions.
The journey continues to The Balconies, one of the most recognisable natural attractions in the Grampians. Short guided walks lead to striking rock formations and expansive views across the valleys and surrounding ranges. It is an excellent location for photography and for experiencing the scale of Gariwerd.
We also spend time in Halls Gap, the cultural heart of the Grampians. The area is well known for its native wildlife, and kangaroos, emus and Australian birdlife are often seen moving freely in their natural habitat. Wildlife is observed from a safe and respectful distance. Feeding, touching and forced animal interactions are never part of our tours.
This Grampians small-group tour from Melbourne is ideal for nature lovers, hikers and travellers who want to experience the region thoughtfully, comfortably and responsibly.
